Garamycin Uses:


Garamycin Ophthalmic, an antibiotic, is applied to the eye for treatment of infections such as conjunctivitis (pinkeye) and other eye infections.

Garamycin Dosage:

Put 1 or 2 drops Garamycin into the affected eye every 4 hours. For severe infections, your doctor may increase your dosage up to a maximum of 2 drops once every hour.

Garamycin Contraindications :

If you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to Garamycin or certain other antibiotics, such as Tobrex, you should not take this medication. Make sure your doctor is aware of any drug reactions you have experienced.

Occasional eye irritation — with itching, redness and swelling — may occur with use of the eyedrops. Occasional burning or stinging in the eye may occur with use of the ointment.

Garamycin Overdose:
