Contraindications:
You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to silver sulfadiazine. If you are allergic to sulfa drugs, check with your doctor before using silver sulfadiazine
Uses:
Cream
Your doctor will tell you how much to use and how often.
Use this medicine on the skin only. Do not put in or around the eyes.
Wash your hands before and after using the cream.
Before using the cream, clean off any dead skin or scabbing from the burn wound.
Spread a very thin layer of the cream over the wound. You may then cover the wound with a bandage.
Keep the wound area clean at all times.
If a dose is missed:
If you forget to use the cream, put some on as soon as you remember.
If the cream washes off during a bath or other activity, clean the wound again and put on more cream.
Storage:
Keep the tube of cream at room temperature, away from heat and light. Do not freeze.
Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.
Special precautions:
Before taking, tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to any medications. tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking. tell your doctor if you have or have ever had heart failure or liver disease. tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking, call your doctor
Warnings:
Check with your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any medical problems.
YOU SHOULD NOT USE THIS MEDICINE ON NEWBORN INFANTS.
If your burn wounds do not heal or if they become worse, call your doctor.
