Griseofulvin (Oral)

Contraindications:
You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to griseofulvin or penicillin
Uses:
Tablet, Capsule, Liquid

Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to take and how often.

Keep taking this medicine even if your symptoms are gone. If you stop taking griseofulvin too soon, your infection may return.

You may take your medicine with food or milk to avoid stomach irritation.

Shake the oral liquid well just before each use. Measure your dose with a measuring spoon.
If a dose is missed:

Take your medicine as soon as you remember that you have missed your dose.

Special precautions:

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine. Let your doctor know if you become pregnant while taking griseofulvin.

Keep yourself clean to help control infection and prevent reinfection.

Avoid sunlight and sun lamps. Wear protective clothing or sunscreen when you are outdoors.

This medicine may cause drowsiness. Be careful when driving a car or using machinery.
