Uses:

• Your doctor will prescribe your exact dose and tell you how often it should be given.
• An IV infusion is medicine that is put directly into your body through one of your veins.
• This medicine should be given by a person trained to give IV medicine, such as a nurse. Sometimes you, a family member, or friend can be taught to give your medicine.

• Use your medicine as soon as you remember that you have missed your dose, then return to your normal schedule.
• If you miss more than one dose, call your doctor for instructions.

Storage:

• Store your medicine at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze.
• Ask your pharmacist, doctor, or health caregiver about the best way to dispose of any outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed.
• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.

Special precautions:

• Make sure your doctor knows if you are taking rifampin, Dilantin®, theophylline, cyclosporine, Retrovir® (AZT), blood thinners (Coumadin®), or diabetes medicine.

Warnings:

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
• Make sure your doctor knows if you have liver disease, kidney disease, or other medical problems before you take this medicine.

• Skin rash, itching, or hives

• Diarrhea
• Headache or dizziness
